Join us on May 7 from 11:30am-1:00pm to hear an exciting recap of a hunt expedition on the upper Luangwa in Zambia featuring AWWC member, Tom Thom!
From Tom: I will do my best to recount the motivation and several years of planning and preparation that went into our Zambian safari this past September. My wife Sheri I traveled to a remote area of Zambia called Chikwa and spent 21 days in a tented camp on the upper Luangwa river. The area is very special in that it is one of the few places that remain to a degree as God intended with almost all the big African animals existing in heathly numbers. The goal of the hunt was to pursue four of the big five which included Lion, Leopard, Elephant, and Cape Buffalo. Additionally, we also expanded this to include six of the dangerous seven with the addition of Hippo and Crocodile. The area also has abundant plains game some of which we took advantage of while pursuing our primary target animals. It was truly a wild adventure and likely the hunt of a lifetime for Sheri and I. I hope to present the hunt in a way that is worth an hour of your life. Come on!
