Cowboy Action Shooting
New Shooters Orientation
Thank you for your interest in the New Shooters Orientation presented and hosted by the Tejas Caballeros Cowboy Action Shooting Club.
Please arrive by 8:30am, to assure completion of registration prior to class which starts promptly at 9:00am
The Tejas Caballeros shooting range of Determination Texas is on the Texas Republic Ranch located 7.6 miles west of Blanco at 8545 Ranch Road 1623, Blanco, TX.
The class begins promptly at 9am. We discuss safety and range rules and present approximately four to five hours of discussion, handling, and individual live firing of each of the four types of firearms used in CAS: single-action pistols, lever-action rifles, SxS, pump and lever action shotguns. We'll have a brief break following each of the three sessions. Please bring energy snacks and beverages (no alcohol). All of our activities are conducted in a weather protect structure but please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. After the orientation we offer you an individual live fire opportunity utilizing all the CAS firearms in a typical cowboy action shooting stage.
Required: Sturdy closed-toe footwear, hat, eye and ear protection and a friendly positive attitude.
The club will supply all guns and ammo for the New Shooters Orientation.
No room for observers and no alcohol until shooting concludes! Waivers will need to be signed prior to the event or onsite.
